Many different laser options

LAser Refractive surgery

LASIK and PRK are common types of laser refractive surgery that correct vision so patients no longer depend on glasses or contacts.  LASIK involves creating a flap on the eye, lifting the flap, using a laser to reshape the cornea and then replacing the flap.  PRK alternatively creates a corneal abrasion instead of a flap, then uses a laser to reshape the cornea. Patients are gratified to have clear vision for years without glasses or contacts. There are specific advantages to each LASIK and PRK to discuss with your surgeon.

The YAG laser has multiple functions. One of its main functions is to remove a cloudy layer that can form after cataract surgery. The cloudy layer is named posterior capsule opacification.  YAG laser therapy is painless and a quick way to improve vision. This is an in office surgery with no downtime, meaning you walk in and walk out same day with better vision.
